WARDOGS wipe date: the confirmed answer
The next WARDOGS wipe date is not confirmed in the official Steam sources checked for this page. Season 2 / Update 0.2.0 was announced live on October 15, 2026, but the checked notes do not establish a general Season 2 account wipe or a future reset schedule. The official release notice confirms the update; the full Season 2 notes describe its changes.
Players use “wipe” for several different things: losing accumulated cash, resetting role XP, clearing unlocks or removing cosmetics. Those are separate claims. A maintenance announcement can tell you when services are expected to be unavailable without saying that any of these account values will change.
| Question | What is established | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Latest season update | Season 2 / Update 0.2.0 was announced live on October 15. | The release notice does not establish an account wipe. |
| Next scheduled wipe | No confirmed date found in the checked Steam sources. | No countdown or recurring interval can be derived from that absence. |
| Cash between matches | The official store describes cash persisting from match to match. | This is not a guarantee about a season boundary. |
| Role progression | Season 2 changes XP thresholds and unlock positions. | These changes do not by themselves prove that earned progress was erased. |
| Cash, Gold and cosmetics across seasons | No explicit retention rule was established in the checked sources. | Do not promise either preservation or deletion. |

Why a progression change is not proof of a wipe
Season 2 lowers total role-track XP thresholds and moves some items between levels or tracks. The Medical Bag, for example, moves from Medic level 24 to 14, while the SPH-2 moves from WARDOG level 90 to Driver level 31. That changes how players reach equipment; it is a different question from whether an account's recorded XP was cleared. Source: official Progression Changes.
When checking an unfamiliar unlock screen, compare the current item, role and level with the relevant patch section. A previous guide may describe an old track. A missing familiar menu entry, a changed unlock price or a new level requirement is not enough evidence to announce a global reset.
The Season 2 detail page separates unlock costs, vendor prices and cumulative XP thresholds. It is useful when a question about “lost progress” is actually a question about where an item now belongs. We do not infer the state of your account from the patch text.
Cash, Gold and market listings answer different questions
The official store description says cash can persist between matches. Its scope matters: continuing from one match to another is not the same event as a season transition. Without an explicit seasonal rule, that description cannot support either “all cash always survives” or “cash resets every season.”
The Season 2 Gold Market changes describe eight new skins and removal of the Black & Gold AK market listing. Availability in a shop and ownership in an account are different facts. The removal statement does not say that previously owned items were taken away, and the addition of skins does not state a Gold-balance carryover rule. Source: Season 2 Gold Market changes.
Before acting on a claim about retained currency, look for the exact currency name, the affected season and the affected players. A statement about cash is not automatically a statement about Gold; a statement about a vendor item is not automatically a statement about account inventory. Keeping those categories separate is more useful than applying one broad “wipe” label to everything.
Account enforcement is not a seasonal reset schedule
The official Update 0.1.2 notice does discuss cash and progression resets, in the context of players caught abusing cash or XP exploits or real-money trading. That is an account-enforcement statement with a specific scope. It is not an announcement that every player will be reset when a season starts. Read the original 0.1.2 enforcement notice.
When a screenshot quotes a reset sentence, read the paragraph around it. Check whether it addresses all accounts, a particular server, test participants or players subject to enforcement. Also check its publication date. A genuine sentence from an older announcement can still be misleading when its scope or date is removed.
How to verify the next WARDOGS wipe date
- Find the original notice. Start with the official Steam announcements, then follow a direct developer or publisher source rather than a cropped search snippet.
- Look for an explicit reset statement. It should identify what changes, which accounts are affected and which season or event it concerns.
- Separate the time labels. A planned maintenance start, an estimated end and a release or recovery notice are distinct timestamps. None alone supplies a wipe policy.
- Convert a confirmed time. Once a notice gives a real event time and zone, use the UTC and local-time tools. Check the local calendar date as well as the hour.
The October 15 reference illustrates the distinction: 08:00–09:30 UTC was the planned maintenance interval, while 09:59:12 UTC is the publication time of the later recovery announcement. Neither tells us that cash, XP or Gold was reset. Our maintenance-notice guide explains why a connection failure also cannot establish an account wipe.
A practical preparation checklist
Keep a personal reference of the version you were playing, the role track involved and the balance or unlock you want to compare. If you choose to save a screenshot, keep it locally and avoid including account credentials. A before-and-after record can help describe a question; it does not turn an unverified community claim into an official rule.
Read current unlock and purchase requirements before spending in-game cash, and avoid making irreversible choices solely because someone predicts a reset. This page has no confirmed future wipe date to use for such a prediction. When an explicit new notice exists, compare its scope with the categories in the table rather than assuming every account value changes together.
For a supported correction to this WARDOGS wipe-date guide, send the affected sentence and the direct announcement through the website contact route. Account access, bans and an individual balance discrepancy belong with the game's official support route. The countdown page will use a confirmed future event when one is available; it will not manufacture a wipe schedule from an old maintenance date.
