A WARDOGS countdown with a clear source

The default clock follows the next update or maintenance time recorded from official sources. It currently says Not announced. A missing future date is not a broken timer: it means there is no verified target to count toward. To try the working clock now, choose Personal UTC timer and enter a future date and time.

Set a personal timer without changing the official schedule

  1. Select Personal UTC timer. Enter a complete calendar date and a time from 00:00 to 23:59. The date and time are both UTC; do not enter a local clock reading in the UTC fields.
  2. Choose a display zone and select Start timer. The target line shows both the UTC instant and the corresponding local date, time and zone. The remaining duration is the same worldwide.
  3. Check the date as well as the hour. A target can cross midnight in another region, and named city zones apply daylight-saving rules for the target date.

Dates from 2000 through 2100 are supported, but a personal target must be in the future when you start it. A past time, an impossible date or incomplete input produces an explanation rather than a negative counter. Seconds are set to zero: an entry for the current minute may already have passed. At zero, a personal timer says it has finished without making a game-status claim.

Changing any field stops the previous result and disables copying until you start again. Reset clears the personal inputs and returns to the official record. Inputs remain in this page's memory, are not saved in browser storage and are not added to a URL. The UTC converter is available if you need a conversion without a running timer.

Share the official-schedule clock

These controls copy a clean page link or an iframe that follows the site's official-source record. They always exclude your personal date, time and display-zone inputs, even while a personal timer is running. The widget shows Not announced when the record has no future target; sharing it does not turn a private plan into an announcement.

View the website embed code
<iframe src="https://wardogsupdate.com/embed/countdown/" width="480" height="360" title="WARDOGS countdown (unofficial)" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="no-referrer" style="max-width:100%;border:0"></iframe>

For a website, paste the iframe into an HTML area that allows embedded content. For OBS, use the standalone widget URL as a Browser Source and choose a suitable source size. Discord chat can share the page link, but does not run arbitrary iframe code. This site does not install a bot, send notifications or promise an automatic preview card.

Full-screen use, refreshes and timing limits

Enter full screen enlarges the clock area when your browser permits it. Select Exit full screen or press Escape to leave. If native full screen is unavailable or denied, a clearly labeled Expanded view fills the page viewport instead. Exit expanded view or Escape returns to the page and restores focus. Neither mode keeps a device awake or creates an alarm.

The page and widget request the site's schedule file on load and every 60 seconds; the refresh button can request it sooner. That file contains an editorial source-review timestamp. A successful download is not a new review of the game team's channels, and a failed request does not erase the last loaded evidence. An announced cancellation or postponement replaces the clock with the corresponding schedule message.

The display uses your device clock and browser time-zone data. A wrong system clock, a sleeping device or a background tab can delay visible ticks. On returning, the remaining time is calculated from the target again instead of subtracting assumed seconds. Seconds are intentionally excluded from live accessibility announcements; meaningful state changes and errors have separate status text.

WARDOGS countdown questions

Why does the WARDOGS countdown say Not announced?

No future official time is available in the loaded source record. The page does not reuse a past Season 2 date or invent a recurring update schedule. You can still start a clearly labeled personal timer for a future UTC target.

Does reaching zero mean WARDOGS servers are online?

No. Zero means the chosen scheduled instant has arrived. A planned maintenance end is an estimate, and a recovery announcement is a separate source. The timer does not connect to game servers or confirm a successful login.

Can I share my personal timer?

This version does not create share URLs or embed parameters from your input. The copied page link and widget always follow the official schedule. For a private arrangement, communicate your intended date and zone separately without presenting it as an official update.

Can I paste the iframe into Discord?

Discord messages do not execute arbitrary iframe HTML. Share the countdown page link in chat. The iframe code is for a website that permits embedding; OBS can load the embed URL as a Browser Source. Neither option provides alerts or a Discord bot.

What happens if the schedule file cannot refresh?

The last loaded event and its source-review timestamp remain visible, with a refresh-failure message. Fetching the schedule file does not recheck Steam itself. Follow the official source when a newer announcement may exist.

For the evidence behind a release, read the patch-notes timeline. For an incorrect timestamp or tool result, follow the correction checklist. This is an independent fan tool, and our privacy choices apply to optional analytics on the full page. The standalone widget does not load that analytics implementation.
